T-Max recovery set

The recovery set from T-Max is a must for all owners of a winch and our recommendation. What good is the most expensive and beautiful winch if the right material is missing to use it in an emergency. With the black and yellow colour scheme, the components also look good.

The three-metre long tree anchor strap, which is 80 mm wide and has a breaking load of 10 tonnes, is used to put a sling around a tree and attach the winch cable to it.

With the pulley (snatch block), the pulling force of the winch can be doubled or the load halved. The pulley is attached to a tree, e.g. with the tree anchor strap, and the winch cable is led from the vehicle back to the vehicle via the pulley block. Just like a pulley block. The pulley is designed for a load of 8 tonnes.

The pulley is stored in a special bag with a Velcro fastener. This bag can be hung over the winch rope and serves to reduce the whipping effect in case the rope breaks.

The two shackles are used, for example, to connect the pulley to the loops of the tree anchor strap or to attach a strap to a towing eye. The u-shaped shackle has a width of approx. 32 mm, the omega-shaped one of approx. 50 mm. The thickness is approx. 20 mm. Both heavy shackles are designed for a load of 4.75 tonnes.

The solid towing hook with safety device is designed for mounting on the vehicle. It is designed for a maximum working load of 4.5 tonnes. Two leather gloves are provided to protect the hands.

The three-legged spanner is provided with hexagonal sockets of width 10, 12 and 14. Why it is included is beyond our knowledge.

All parts are stored in a very sturdy and practical carrying bag with metal reinforcement. The bag has compartments inside and outside for storing small parts. There is enough space in the bag to store a recovery belt.

Info: The breaking load is usually given for harnesses. This is 7 times the load up to which the belt may be loaded during lifting. The working load limit (WLL) given for shackles, for example, corresponds to one third of the value at which the material breaks.
