The first approved CB-SSB multi-standard handheld radio. SSB radios provide approximately twice the range of FM radios. The Albrecht handheld radio AE 2990 AFS is a multi-standard CB handheld radio, which can be switched to all European standards and modes. The radio can be used as a portable radio with rechargeable batteries, as a vehicle radio or as a fixed station on mobile or station antennas, also with external power supply via 12 V adapter cable. Licensed radio amateurs can also use the device in the amateur radio bands (10 m and 12 m bands) without any problems.
