Hofmann steel wheel spacer 27/27mm Defender 2

These wheel spacers are for the new Defender and made of steel. There are of course the normal ones in aluminium for aluminium rims in 25mm or 30mm. There are also 15mm or 21mm, depending on the rim and tyre width. You can find them here in the shop.

But we have something special! Actually, the new Defender without ladder frame, with the steel rims and the ET that the original steel rims have, may only run 21mm track plates. But even the 25mm track plates are such that you have to shorten the studs, because steel rims have no pockets where the studs would disappear inside.

Many people often ask why aluminium and isn't steel more stable? No, steel is not necessarily more stable - the aluminium plates are just stable enough. But the steel plates are for the steel rims. The steel wheel spacers may only be used in conjunction with the steel rims!

So here you get steel wheel spacers in 27mm with approval for your steel rims!

Note: PLEASE NOTE:
Retighten the wheel nuts/wheel bolts of the wheel spacers and the rims after 50-100 km with the specified torque!

Absolutely observe: Please ensure and check the following:
The stud bolts of the vehicle with the screwed-on fastening nuts for fastening the wheel spacers may only protrude beyond the wheel spacers if the rim has sufficiently large pockets on the rear side to accommodate this protrusion. Otherwise, the stud bolts must be shortened and the nuts exchanged for shorter ones.
